UIDAI launched new app mAadhaar for residents of India to check and update their Aadhaar card details through their mobiles. Now there is no need to wait in long queue in UIDAI office for changing Aadhaar details. Also you don't need to carry your physical Aadhaar card all time. For any identity verification, you can show mAadhaar app instead of physical card. This is one of the step for India's Digital Transformation.

Main Features of mAadhaar Application
Aadhaar Online Services on Mobile: mAadhaar provides a single platform for Aadhaar cardholders to access a variety of Aadhaar services, including:- Downloading or retrieving e-Aadhaar
- Generating or retrieving Virtual ID (VID)
- Updating address and other demographic details
- Locking and unlocking Aadhaar
- Viewing Aadhaar authentication history
- Ordering a reprint of Aadhaar PVC card

Aadhaar Locking
mAadhaar allows Aadhaar cardholders to lock their Aadhaar temporarily or permanently. This prevents anyone else from using their Aadhaar without their consent.
Biometric Locking/Unlocking
mAadhaar also allows Aadhaar cardholders to lock and unlock their biometric authentication. This means that they can choose whether or not to allow Aadhaar authentication using their fingerprints and iris scan.

How to Check Pan Aadhaar Link
There are two ways to check your PAN Aadhaar link status:Online
- Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal: https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
- Under the 'Quick Links' heading, click on the 'Link Aadhaar Status'.
- Enter your PAN number and Aadhaar number and click the 'View Link Aadhaar Status' button.
- A message regarding your Link Aadhaar status will be displayed on successful validation.
SMS
- Compose a new message in the format: UIDPAN <12-digit Aadhaar number> <10-digit PAN number>
- Send the message to either 567678 or 56161.
- You will receive a response indicating the status of your PAN Aadhaar link.
- Your PAN is already linked to given Aadhaar.
- Your PAN is linked to Aadhaar.
- Your PAN has been successfully linked to Aadhaar.
If your PAN and Aadhaar are not linked, you will receive one of the following messages:
- PAN not linked with Aadhaar.
- Your PAN and Aadhaar are not linked.
- Your PAN and Aadhaar linking request is under process.
